Achievement House Cyber Charter School understands that it makes perfect sense to move the learning platform from the classroom to the computer. It saves money, it is convenient, it is flexible, and many students and teachers prefer it to the traditional method. With the overcrowding of schools and mounting budget cuts, thousands of students now turn to cyber schools to get their high school diplomas.
In Pennsylvania, there are 12 cyber schools for K-12 students. These schools serve more than 24,000 children in the state, and the number is expected to grow with the possible development of a Pennsylvania virtual school. The years 2010 and 2011 saw explosive growth in online K-12 education enrollment. According to the Evergreen Education Group, the number of students enrolled in 100%-online schools grew 25% during the 2010-2011 school year. The Achievement House Cyber Charter School also continues to see strong growth in enrollment numbers for 2011-2012.
